The Kingdom Is a Net

The Kingdom of God is like a net which would have been used to catch fish. Just like the nets

used in the ancient near east would catch all types of fish, the Kingdom is cast out in order to

welcome people from all walks of life. The Kingdom of God is a net made up of people who have already been "caught" and who now join the King in his mission to "catch" others. It is not our job to choose who is kept and who is thrown back: our job is to just cast the net.
