The Gospel Story - Faith Without Works Is Dead
Dec 5, 2021
Anyone can call themselves a Christian but what Good is it to just say it and not show it! As a leading voice to the church in Jerusalem and Jewish Christians scattered abroad, James raises this concern in his letter during a time when many Christians were suffering from poverty and persecution for their faith. His letter boldly makes a statement that has become the major theme of his work. “Faith Without Works Is Dead”. This was a reminder to Christians to live out their faith by following the example of Jesus through love and compassion for others. Living faith should be a natural yet visible expression in our lives as a result of an inwardly healthy relationship with Jesus, in turn producing in us a Christ-like outwardly focus.
